We hear it all the time “I wish this would have been around when my child was born”, and we all have that feeling. We, here at Halos of the St. Croix Valley, are blessed to be surrounded by a community who believes in our mission to support families who suffer the loss of a child. Because of our amazing community we were able to purchase our second CuddleCot unit, from our campaign we ran in October 2016 in honor of National Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month. If you are unfamiliar with what a CuddleCot is, its a piece of medical equipment that is a refrigerated bassinet which allows babies to stay in the room with their parents so they do not need to be taken straight to the morgue. This allows families to spend more time with their precious babies, to capture photos, memorize their every detail, and allows for family members who are out of town to join them in the hospital.
