FAMILY FUN DAY

We look forward to seeing you this year as we continue to work towards making our walk the biggest event in our state that honors children gone too soon!  All proceeds go to help families who are suffering the loss of a child, so that all children who are honored through our walk will live on through our work to help families feel they are not alone in their journey. So thank you for continuing to support us, year after year, so that we can continue to provide comfort to families who need it the most!


Proceeds benefit the Halos of the St. Croix Valley, non-profit foundation serving families of child-loss. The mission of Halos of the St. Croix Valley, is to provide ongoing support, encouragement, and assistance to families who are grieving the loss of a child. We want to promote C.A.R.E. (Compassion, Awareness, Remembrance and Education) Together we will give families hope through healing and help them keep their child's memory alive. To also help provide support to siblings grieving the loss of their brother or sister.

This year instead of a balloon release, we will be having a live butterfly release!

Anyone who registers between March 1st and April 30th will receive their butterfly for FREE!
*The butterflies will be $5 for anyone registered between May 1st - June 30th, but they are not a required purchase.

You can start raising funds for Halos, by clicking the link above, for the walk you are attending. Under the DONATE button, you will select the 'FUNDRAISE FOR THIS CAMPAIGN'. You will then enter the "team name" not your name. and your goal etc. Offline donations (cash and checks) received by Halos, will be entered to the correct team, by Halos administrators. Campaigns will end 8/3 Hudson & 8/17 Chippewa. The winner will be awarded with a trophy (to be engraved after the event).

Everyone on the HALOS TEAM PAGE (LINK ABOVE) can obtain a personal Fundraising page with the click of a button. 


HOW DO I JOIN THE HALOS TEAM PAGE AND START MY OWN TEAM FUNDRAISING PAGE?

On the HALOS TEAM page, you can Join the Team by clicking on "Join the team" on the lower right hand side of the page. You will be asked to make a simple Crowdrise account, if you do not have one yet.


HOW DO I CHANGE MY TEAM NAME?

  1. Log in to your CrowdRise account.
  2. Go to the fundraiser of which you'd like to change the team name (title).
  3. Click on the Edit Fundraiser tab and on the next page under the EDIT BASIC FUNDRAISER INFO button, you'll be able to
  4. change your team name.
  5. Be sure to click on the SAVE button to make everything official.


WHAT DO I DO AFTER I JOIN A TEAM?

As soon as you Join our Team, you'll instantly have your own Fundraising page that you can personalize. Once your Fundraising page looks compelling, ask everyone you know to donate and help spread the word about your Team Page and raise money for HALOS!

2018 ANGEL SPONSORSHIP'S HAVE CLOSED

Honor a child by becoming an Angel Sponsor. With your $50 donation, you will receive a personalized, unique sign, including a photo (if wanted) made by Marti, our very own designer. Your sign will be placed along the walk route, and is yours to keep, along with a sky lantern and certificate of donation. (which can all be picked up at the information tent after the walk)

PENNIES FOR HEAVEN
HUDSON ONLY

We have all heard of Pennies FROM Heaven, well we want to use those special little copper coins, to help those families saying goodbye to their children entering heaven. For 2018, we invite you to join us by collecting pennies! They may be collected in jars, bags, any kind of container you can find. On August 4th, we ask that you bring them down to our annual memorial walk at Lakefront Park in Hudson. We will have a unique way for you to donate your pennies, to show just how much we can make a difference together!

If your child would like to join in please sign up below so we can keep track of who is participating - this is so we can make sure we have enough prizes in August.

SONG DEDICATION   $5

Music can be so healing to the soul of a parent, that grieves the loss of their child. Music helps bring us back to a time or place, and helps us to remember our child. It can help to bring a sense of balance and peace back into our lives, even if only for a moment.
Dedicate a song to be played at the event, with your dedication announced by the emcee.

Can we volunteer and still participate in the walk?
YES! We have tons of time slots available, and we will even ask if you are participating in the walk itself.
Do we have to volunteer all day?
No. We have many time slots with varying time frames. You get to pick!
But hurry, they are filling up fast!
